Pontiac is one of the oldest brands in US automobile industry and was established in the year 1926. The vehicles of this company were marketed by General Motors. Due to several financial and internal problems, especially die to the financial crisis of 2007-2009, the company would be phased out in 2010. But in their long history, Pontiac has made a name for themselves by offering graceful cars that last for a long time. The mileage for the vehicles is high and it is ably supported by a well engineered engine. But the crux of the engine is formed by the Pontiac Radiator. Radiator for the vehicles form the basis of the cooling system.

The Pontiac vehicles were marketed in their early years as performance vehicles. It is an essential quality for the performance vehicles that they run for long distances without any stops along the way. To achieve this purpose Pontiac Radiator is made lightweight with the use of aluminum and hoses that pass on the heat produced during combustion into the open air. The coolant or the antifreeze also takes care that there is stable temperature within the engine. The coolant passes through the hoses within the engine to create equilibrium for the smooth running of the Pontiac cars. It is primarily because of the high performance of the Pontiac Radiator that the company has survived in spite of stiff competition from the other popular automobile companies.

Pontiac started out by selling 40 hp 186.7 ci L-head straight 6-cylinder engines in 1927. By the year 1933 they started producing the least expensive cars with straight cylinder engines for their customers. In the early 1940s the Pontiac company started producing cars with hydra-matic automatic transmission system and redesigned the Pontiac Radiator. In 1949 they launched their first new models. It was redesigned and had styling cues in the lower body lines and the rear fenders to give these models a grand new look. In 1955 new bodies and chasis added to the popularity of the Pontiac cars.

The sales of these cars increased manifold times over, but it was more because of the sturdy engines than looks. And all if the credit could be actually attributed to the Pontiac radiators – which boosted the performance of these cars up several notches than normal.  Cars even in the 1980s era such as Firebird and Fiero met with outstanding success for the makers mainly due to the fine quality of the radiators. Fiero, especially, was a two seat mid-engine coupe fitted with supreme quality Pontiac Radiators for a lightning-quick cooling process. In the later 1980s and the early 1990s Pontiac strived on providing performance oriented cars sacrificing some of the high end styling. This paved the road for high-end Pontiac radiators, with the brand focusing more on performance than style.

Plenty of retail outlets and online dealers offer Pontiac Radiators – both as brand new auto parts as well as repair services by trained professionals. So before you embark on a great drive down the road with your newly acquired Pontiac, make sure your radiator is in full control of the temperature within the engine!
